Our History

Cotants Farm Market is a family owned and operated business that set their roots four generations ago in 1947. Bill Cotant, along with his parents Dwight and Gonne Cotant, started a small roadside produce stand. Bill and his wife Marilyn continued the produce business. After his college graduation, Bob Cotant, (Bill and Marilyn’s son), along with his wife Kathy, teamed up with his parents and expanded the business to a new facility 3/4 miles down the road, where it operates today.

THREE SEASONS

SPRING

In mid-April the greenhouse opens to the public with many mulch varieties, soil, seeds, bedding plants, hanging baskets, yard ornaments, fountains etc. By June, Cotant’s is busy harvesting their strawberries and offers U-Pick berries to the public.

Summer

Summer follows with Cotant’s harvest of homegrown produce including sweet corn, tomatoes, squash, peppers, cucumbers and more while also offering U-Pick blueberries.

Fall

Fall is an especially fun time at Cotant’s where one can pick their own apples and enjoy Cotant’s cider which is pressed on location using a special blend of apples to assure the best tasting cider around. Fall also offers activities for the entire family, including: Mini tractor (battery operated) race track, Straw Mountain, pumpkin picking, wagon rides and more.

End of the Season

Come Thanksgiving, Cotant’s closes its doors to the public in order to get ready for the next season. By shopping at Cotants you’re assured superb product quality and the customer service you’d expect from a family owed business.
